The latest paper from the researchers of China indicates the potential military threat SpaceX’s satellite internet system Starlink presents to China, and how the country much react.
The great team of Chinese researchers is prompting China to come up with methods to deteriorate the satellite of SpaceX internet service that is Starlink.
In the previous month, the Modern Defence Technology of China journal edited a paper on the topic, which is focusing on the points why Starlink presents a severe threat to the state. The South China Morning Post, which was considered to be the first one to report the information, also notifies that the paper arrives from five researchers that are affiliated with the defense industry of China. The paper is claiming that: “While [Starlink] is thriving and flourishing and it is due to its great extensive application capacity, it has brought hidden threats and challenges to our state.”
Starlink already has a span of over 2,000 revolving satellites. However, SpaceX is focusing on one day growing the network to about 30,000 satellites to give high-speed broadband to purchasers and businesses across the world.
Meanwhile, the researchers of China are afraid that Starlink could also be taken advantage of for a huge range of US establishment applications, including radiated broadcasted internet communications to US soldiers or armed forces and aircraft in the field.
The researchers also have developed a fear the Starlink constellation could be equipped to not only check and track satellites and missiles of china, but even empty them. “furthermore, Starlink satellites are equipped with the strong steering and guiding orbit change potentials, and can also be furnished with on-orbit operating gadgets like the robotic arms to get approach and discard of space-oriented targets,” the paper further claims.
