Foxconn has revealed three prototypes electric vehicles under Foxtron brand as part of its effort to become a major player in the automotive industry. Taiwanese conglomerate showed off an SUV, it calls the Model C a sedan it calls the Model E and a bus dubbed the Model T all under the Foxtron branding.
Ford may take issue with the naming convention and it does not seem that, Foxconn plans to make these specific vehicles itself. It wants them to be seen as reference designs and examples of the types of vehicles that can be built on electric vehicle platform. It is been developing, and advertisements for the automotive components and software it plans to sell.
Foxconn did not even build the prototypes they were made by Taiwanese automaker Yulon Motor and which is announced by Foxconn as the first customer for its platform. The company is making big claims about the capabilities of its platform.
