While Google has stayed quiet on AR and VR gadgets for some years after Google Glass, it looks the organization is preparing to jump back into the fray in a large way.
Google is operating on both a new working device for augmented reality, as well as an AR device to show off the new OS. Mark Lucovsky, formerly well-known supervisor for running structures at Oculus, posted on LinkedIn that he’s joined Google to lead its AROS group.
That sure sounds like Google isn’t always simply making an OS for AR, but the hardware to accompany it as well.
