Google may present a television partner in 2022. Google TV recently supports streaming platforms. It offers premium live channel content in its live platform. Google is reportedly looking to add free TV channels to its Google television platform in the near future. Google television is an android based smart television platform that runs on chrome cast and select smart TVs from Sony, TCL and among others. Google TV already supports many streaming apps like Disney, HOTSTAR, NETFLIX and more. It is said to be now looking to take things up a mark by including free TV channels to the mix. Google is apparently in talks with agencies distributing free and ad-supported streaming TV channels.
Protocol details, citing industry sources that free streaming channels could establish on Google TV as early as fall this year. With this addition chrome cast holders will be able to browse channels through a committed live TV menu. Recently this menu only offers paid TV services like YouTube TV subscription service. The brand new free television channels will be offered with these subscriptions based live channels. The report tells that their channels may have the look and feel of traditional, linear television network, complete with ad breaks and on screen graphics. These efforts are alike to what Samsung offers with its television plus service every month at its smart TV rate. This service combines free streaming channels and Samsung is reported to stream billion of minutes of linear programming every month.
