The e-ink display, it has 12 inch panel compared to the 10.8 inch version in the previous generation. It takes up more of the lid available specs with the large bezels that would have looked normal on the standard display, just few years ago. Lenovo ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 has no backlit and so like all such e ink screens and the users can only use it with direct lighting.
E-ink display work just like the ones users will find on the Amazon Kindle and other dedicated e book readers. When laptop is asleep or turned off the static image provides some personalization and the users can choose the own background image that becomes lid aesthetic.

ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 shares the almost identical 13x the thin and light sibling to the Think Book 13s Gen 2. The 3 small business oriented laptops share similar buds that includes aluminum in the lid and aluminum magnesium alloy in the chassis. ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 and the Think Book 13 x are the same width and depths. It supports an almost identical aesthetic to the Think Book 13x with lightly tapered edges, along the sides and the rounded rear edge on the chassis.
It equips the low power 11th gen Intel Core CPU in this case, the Core i7 1160G7. It runs up at up to 15 watts compared to the 28 watt Core i7 1165G7, that is more popular in the thin and light laptops. It promises the longer battery life but slower performances. 16 GB RAM and the fast 512 GB SSD helps things move along so The Think Book plus is quick enough for more productivity workers. The Gen 2 finished third to last in Geek Bench 5 ahead of just the Think Book 13x and the Think Pad X12 Detachable.
Think Book plus Gen 2 lacks any compelling feature to recommend it. It is lot like the Think Book 13x in that respect and it is slightly thinner and lighter than its larger sibling the Think Book 13s but it is also slower and has less battery life and lacks the connectivity of the larger machine. It is not for everyone but if the users loves the e-ink and want to be able to use the laptop in bright lighting environments, while giving your eyes a break.
