Optics and imaging large Nikon will stop making new single lens reflex cameras — once the technological mainstay of professional images — according to a file from Nikkei.
The death of SLR cameras has been coming for quite some time, as mirrorless alternatives have accelerated photo quality even by offering purchasers the option to use lighter and smaller products.
In line with Nikkei, Nikon will maintain to provide and distribute its current SLR models but will recognize the development of the latest models entirely on mirrorless. Nikkei notes that Nikon’s SLR cameras were “mostly used by professional cameramen for more than 60 years and feature come to be seen as synonymous with the Japanese organization.”
