As the Steam Deck launch approaches the Valve is taking time to make sure gamers that know which titles will work on its portable machine. Recently the company opened up its On Deck Twitter account, in order to highlight demonstrations of personal computers running on the Steam Deck and they revealed the Steam Deck Compatibility program.
This compatibility labels that appears on any game published through steam and separating them into 4 categories. These categories are highest level, Verified and has a green logo with the check mark and indicating games that work great on Steam deck right out of the box.

Then the next step is, the yellow exclamation mark for payables and meaning users may need to tweak setting manually to make it work. The other marks are for the games, that are either unsupported on the steam Deck, or simply unknown because they have not been tested for now.
The games that are verified can work with the on screen keyboard and support the steam deck native resolution and fully support its OS, users can navigate their menus with the controller. It’s built in first page store will show verified games but the users can still browse or search through the entire store.
There is also the information for the developers by Valve, to verify that their games support the portable PC and steps so anyone can submit their titles for review. The games that are important may be reviewed and even if they are not manually submitted, and developers can submit titles for review before they released.
If the developers thinks that their games are not good fit to steam Deck there is no way to hide it from the machine built in store. So that the Valve says that: Rather than completely restricting access to some products they can enable the users and customers to find the right products given their specific goals and desires.
For the personal computers games the compatibility and configuration across the wide range of devices are always the strengths and weakness.
