Sony has confirmed that the PS VR 2 will be a PS5-exclusive release and will debut after 2021 with some exciting new technologies in tow.
VR is the future there is little point in arguing that fact. The technology will be so stream lined and the integrated that it will be as common as smart phone. The VR is currently struggling to find the foothold in the mainstream. It is getting better over the past decade, or so since it started being widely commercially available but it has never managed to hit wide audience. Sony original play station VR was comparatively underpowered at the time. It has a few unique advantages in its favor but it will only work if the PS VR 2 has the few key features.
The play station stands alone as the only home console manufacturer that is investing in the VR space. The play station PS VR for the PS 4 was the only console compatible VR head set on the market and it just proved that how much people valued convenience over specifications.

The PS 5 with all the challenges is still the fastest selling play station system if all the time. Original PS VR only did so well because of the massive success of the PS 4 after that the PS 5 is selling better and then Sony is in a perfect position to take the VR as the whole to the next level.
The PS 5 is for now leading the way for the console sales but the Sony has finally come around to the idea of porting its first party games to the personal computers. Many of gamers have invested in personal computers gaming and they don’t bother with under powered console but they interested in lower priced VR headset. The strongest hardware does not means that it will be most successful.
There are so many examples in console space but even just looking to VR, it feels like that. The year 2020 the original PS VR sold 5 millions units. Same time the 5 Million is the mere fraction of 100 plus million PS4s sold by that point. It is easy to use VR set with no expensive or complicated PC. They are less powerful than the personal computer but they just work.
