Twitter chief executive Jack Dorsey is stepping down from mini blogging site. Parag Agarwal, Twitter’s chief technology officer will take over the organization.
Dorsey, 45, worked as CEO of twitter and Square, his digital payment agency. Dorsey will remain a board member until the end of his term at the 2022 shareholders’ meeting, the association said.
The president of the Sale Force and COO Bret Taylor will chair the board, succeeding Patrick Pichette, a former Google executive, who will sit on the board as chair of the research committee.
I decided to leave twitter because I believe the organization is ready to move on to its founders. Agarwal, who has served as CTO since 2017, has been with Twitter for over a decade. Agarwal has also been tasked with finding a blueprint for the blue-sky project, a twitter research project launched to establish open and shared levels of social media agencies that work together on how users are promoted and will give users more control over the content they see.

The Blue sky can also make it easy for social networks to impose restrictions on hate speech and other forms of harassment, essentially helping them share responsibility for lower costs.
Dorsey said in an Email post on twitter that Agarwal had been his decision to lead the institution for a long time as he had a deep understanding of the organization and its needs.

Twitter shares have risen 85% since Dorsey took over as CEO on October 5, 2015. Square stock has risen by 1,566% since it was first publicly offered on November 19, 2015.
